Welcome to our blog. Datacenterlife.com is a simple blog about some of the stuff we do to run several medium corporate style data centers. Plus manage a few hundred servers, workstations, telephones, etc. It’s all the behind the scene stuff that occurs. Both good and Bad. The good is easy. We all like the good. Every now and then we get bit, and we will post stuff that helped us out, and hope it will help you out.
Who are we? Who am I?
The majority of posts are from one person. Ts-Admin. I am an IT Director for a medical society in Washington DC and responsible for both the operations, support, and AV sides of IT. I am lucky to work with terrific teams to make it all happen. The operations team installs and updates everything and the support team keeps it running. We also support a pretty high end conference center and have an AV team team keeping it running and supporting the events.
So I take technology and events and blog on it. On and off. Just depends on my mood. I am not a professional writer or anything like that. Actually did pretty bad in english/grammar in school. So hopefully my writing comes across as practical. But likely with a number of spelling and grammar mistakes!
